Head - Purchase/Procurement - Healthcare Instruments (18-25 yrs)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the function is operating in line with the objectives of the business to add value, mitigate supply chain risk and deliver cost savings.
2. Create and implement best practices purchasing vision, strategy and processes to improve business performance.
3. Develop capability and enhance capacity of the supplier base to cater 50-60% growth volumes.
4. Drive cost reduction initiatives and consolidate supplier base based on strategic sourcing initiatives.
5. Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level
6. Maintain ROL for consumption based inventories in the system including safety stocks.
7. Direct the team on Material movement to production in sets as per pick list of WO.
8. Develop new suppliers and vendor base which creates a competitive advantage
9. Ensure that there is a proper inventory management.
10. Responsible for proper ageing control.
11. Work closely with Research & Development team to source new and alternative raw materials.
12. Improve the quality levels of existing supplier base through supplier quality initiatives (SQI)
13. Lead the team by coaching and mentoring, develop the team as high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
