The person will be part of our Purchase & Planning (P&P) team that manages an annual procurement volume of over currently - this number is expected to increase exponentially. He/she will:
- Help organize the P&P team to be able to scale effectively
- Drive structural changes to the purchase model through our in-house analytics / data science team
- Focus on the twin objectives of ensuring availability & fill rates while optimising DoS and maximising margins
- Pioneer changes in how the procurement function works in the pharma industry. Help lead this change.
- Help manage private label sourcing strategy
This is a high visibility and critical role given the direct impact on customer experience and gross margins.
An ideal candidate would have:
- 12+ years of experience
- Preferred experience in a purchase and planning organization. Knowledge/exposure to the pharma industry would be useful as well
- Should be someone who has had equal exposure to planning and purchase be able to guide the team to create a model while understanding the practical issues in purchase
- Ecommerce / Startup experience would be an added advantage
- Strong Analytical and Communication skills
- Experience leading large teams
- Education: Masters preferred (MBA not mandatory, but good to have)
