Under the general guidance of the MD / CEO and within the limits of established Company policies plans, develops, puts into place and evaluates information and communication strategies that present the organization to the public, clients and other stakeholders and also promote good information flows within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. To keep an eye on public opinion and various issues impacting the company

2. To develop and implement communication strategies, objectives and plans for the company by continually researching and examining the attitudes and opinions of the public and needs of target audience

3. To advise management on communication issues and strategies

4. To plan public relations programs including the preparation of cost budgets by identifying the most important audiences, and decide what to communicate to them and the best mediums to use.

5. To write and implement communication or promotional plans

6. To organize and invite media on new branch launch, promotional events and conferences

7. To present arguments on behalf of the company to special interest groups

8. To respond to enquiries from the public and other organizations

9. To respond to enquiries from the media, arrange interviews with journalists, prepare and distribute news releases and make statements to the media

10. To be responsible for all interactions with the investment /analyst community, including investors meet, regulatory interactions & any other interaction forums

11. To take on the role as ambassador for the organization at business meetings, seminars and events as required and to be the guardian of brand Aakash

12. To oversee production of visual (film or video), audio electronic material, textual material including managing websites

13. To conduct internal communication courses, workshops and media training.

14. To finalize media partners in various cities across the country

15. To oversee publication of documents & updation of the company's website.

16. To establish strong relationship on behalf of the company with key journalists and media personalities.

17. To personally present invites to journalists, media personalities and socialites.

18. To ensure that the company is well publicized in the media across the top publication on pan-India basis.

19. To ensure that the PR agencies perform as per the goals set for them.

20. Event co-ordination.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the MD/CEO
