Head - PR
Responsibilities :
Public Relations :
- Develop an exhaustive Public Relations strategy for Khatabook to drive awareness and positioning across key stakeholders (MSMEs, Talent, Investors)
- Regularly interact with leaders within the organisation to ideate compelling themes and narratives in-line with the strategy
- Drive the finalised themes and narratives through all available mediums including but not limited to print, social media and/or digital publications
- Handle all announcements and in-bound PR requests for the company
- Manage day-to-day relationships with agency, ensuring they deliver seamless media intelligence, media monitoring reports and announcement execution
- Be clued into strategic industry events and facilitate key speaker opportunities for the leadership and manage those speaking engagements
Marketing Collaboration :
- Supplement brand marketing campaigns run by Marketing Team through PR mediums
- Assist the Marketing team in creating PR strategies that enable user acquisition and retention
Crisis Management :
- Creation and execution of communication if the company ever faces a PR crisis
- Anticipation of possible PR crisis and taking proactive steps to avert it
Work Experience & Skills :- 8-12 years of experience in a corporate or marketing communications role, preferably in the start-up and technology sectors
- Strong media relations required
- Interest and experience in work that spans end-to-end communication channels - equally comfortable while pitching a story, looking into the nitty-gritties of running an event or writing a press release
- Understands the basics of branding logo usage, placements, collateral development
- A strong storyteller always ready to find unique angles and methods of getting a message across and not just someone who goes for the tried and tested
- Excellent writer with equally strong conversational skills

- Entrepreneurial self-starter who excels in an unstructured environment, with the maturity to set their own goals and drive their own roadmap
- An execution ninja with a high sense of ownership and very high attention to detail
- Not afraid to get their hands dirty and do the boring jobs. Can be relied upon to always cross the ts and dot the Is.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and translate the value of communications to business leaders
