1. Programme Implementation, Monitoring and Reporting:
- Overall supervision for effective program delivery, review implementation, monitor within agreed standards
- Ensure there is work plan in place and the field team is able to contribute and implement accordingly.
- Seek opportunities for joint learning and capacity building with other local partners
- Take lead on identifying and evaluating potential risks related to the impact of the program and take necessary steps to include risk mitigation in program reviews and design
- Work together with the Monitoring team to track program progress based on the Monitoring and Evaluation framework.
- Ensure regular reporting in accordance with the program M&E framework and based on the regular reporting requirements of the project.
- Contribute to the development of the project budget
- Ensure the spending is within the budgeted limits and the financial policies are adhered to
- Represent us at various related meetings, events and other stakeholder or coordination meetings, towards maintaining a continuous and visible presence for us
- Review the short- and long-term plans for delivery of project services and provide guidance to field staff to improve planning, management and delivery.
- Identify potential areas for livelihood expansion and conduct feasibility checks ensuring scope, expansion, budgetary implications and viability of implementation
- Successfully curate reports based on feasibility checks conducted - clearly identifying impact parameters.
- Assess the livelihood needs of the target population
- Stay up to date with developments in the livelihood sector, and other key factors affecting rural livelihoods.
- Interface with Government departments and senior leadership team regarding livelihood programs
2. Relationship and partnership building and Management:
- Identify, develop and manage relevant partnerships with other organizations/departments to implement the program effectively
- Develop and sustain the relationship with the Government departments and other line departments
- Represent us in local and state forums and platforms
- Identify appropriate stakeholders and partners for program delivery as and when required
- Ensure MoUs with key partner organizations are in place and operational
- Ensure that key staff at the state and district Government have a clear understanding of and regular involvement in the program
- Identify opportunities for joint activities with the government staff (e.g. shared workshops etc.).
3. People management:
- Ensure that all field coordinators have clear performance objectives and development plans.
- Manage program staff, ensuring that they are clear on the change they are contributing to and on their roles and responsibilities.
- Support, mentor and coach the field staff and help them to be highly effective in their work.
- Ensure that field staff work together to share learning and to exchange skills
- Ensure the field coordinators are able to manage their team effectively
Qualifications :
- A Postgraduate degree in any discipline
- 3-5 years of work experience preferably in the livelihood sector
- Good understanding and practical experience in Rural Livelihood Mission.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and Hindi.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound operational decisions
- Ability to lead teams
- Strong team player able to work under own initiative
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Managing remote teams
