JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position : Head Productivity Services Department

Location : Jamshedpur

Qualification : B Tech in any discipline with M Tech in Industrial / Production Engineering

Experience : 10 Yrs. to 25 Yrs.

10 - 25 years of experience in Industrial Engineering field having experience in the areas of manpower assessment, Incentive Bonus formulation, simulation, Reengineering, supply chain activities, Improvement activities, etc.

Responsible for the following in business units with the help of assigned team of Officers:

Work as a process owner for:

- Making changes in organization structure, designing new organisation structure, rightsizing existing organization with an objective to improve employee productivity and reduce wage cost

- Formulating Incentive Bonus Schemes and their administration to improve employee morale

- Accountable for maintaining parity in designation, grade/ level, span of control

- Examine Union grievances wrt grade, number and IB to maintain Industrial Relations

- Participate in the Union negotiation meetings on manpower and IB revision proposal to ensure parity in extending benefits

- Participate in improving existing work practices

- Formulate guidelines related to organization design, incentive bonus schemes, outsourcing philosophy, etc.

- Study process improvement / cost optimisation / Layout & Logistics areas using various IE tools to eliminate waste and improve productivity of man-machine system

- Assess the requirement of fleet size of mobile equipment

- Study capital investment proposals to improve capital productivity

- Study of service contract proposals to reduce contract labour and contract cost

- Work as a member of various committees like MEVRC, Capital Scheme Review Committee, etc.

Technical Competencies Required

1. Understanding of Union and Management expectations of this group .

2. Deep knowledge of various production, mining and maintenance processes, business processes in the areas of Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance.

3. Understanding of Industrial Engineering concepts to identify wasteful activities and elimination of such activities

Behavioural Competencies Required

1. Influencing and Networking at business level

2. Integrity of recommendations

3. Result orientation
