To plan & manage the production activities in the production area as per the marketing and businesses requirements in co-ordination with various internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities - 

- Ensure all products are as per requirements of regulatory guidelines and meeting the safety and quality standards.

- Responsible for the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage.

- Responsible of plant operations related to production and maintenance.

- Revamping and up-gradation of plants as per business requirements.

- Practical experience in handling unit operations, reactors, centrifuges, filters used in API / Bulk drug / Batch chemical plants.

- Experience in DCS / PLC based Production control systems in plants and equipment such as Heat exchangers, distillation columns, dryers, reactors etc.

- Production planning, scheduling and budgeting.

- Meeting the production target as per the business / marketing plans.

- To facilitate & review timely implementation of cost reduction projects.

- Creating competencies in Lean Six Sigma.

- Ensuring the development and retention of High performers of the plants.

- Achieving rated capacities of environment protection assets.

- Compliance to SOP's and practicing utmost safety standards to ensure Industrial safety.

- CAPEX Monitoring.

- WIP reduction in plants i.e. Monitor & control yield losses during production.

- Monitor & maintaining raw material & utility consumption norms.

- Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed

- Reviewing worker performance;

- Ensure the efficient running of plant as per business requirements and marketing deliverance.

Qualifications & Experience - B. Tech / B.E in Chemical Engineering from IIT / REC / BITS or First class overseas Institution.

- Minimum 18 - 22 years of exp. in process chemical plant, petrochemical plant or large integrated organic chemical plants.

- Good communication and leadership qualities

- Knowledge and hands on experience in design / commissioning of new chemical plants.

- Exposure to Lean Six Sigma in the process.

- Awareness to modern EHS practices.

- Knowledge of maintenance process and TPM concepts.

- Practical knowledge of Kaizen, Value Engineering, SPC, and Six Sigma.

- A strategic thinker and a result-driven doer, has the ability to understand business needs, provide strategic support, find the solutions and put good ideas into action.
