Head - Product Management - Wearable Technology - IIT/NIT/BITS/IIM/FMS/MDI

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage the entire product lifecycle from conception to launch including: ideation, business case development, specification, requirements, prioritization, design, implementation, quality assurance, launch, and support

- Manage relationships with key technology partners and device manufacturers

- Develop key relationships with stakeholders to align product release plans with both scientific and commercial objectives.

- Participate in decision making for hardware technology roadmap

- Author detailed product requirements, wireframes, whitepapers, and other product collateral

- Act as product subject matter expert to both internal and external teams

- Fulfill scrum duties of Product Owner as needed, including contribution to sprint planning and review meetings, and maintaining the product backlog

- Performing detailed product analysis and deep dive to understand competitive offerings, trends and future patterns in the Mobility / Wearables space

- Define, collect, and report against specific product goals that align to company objectives

REQUIREMENTS

- Product management experience with at least 1 year in the Wearables Technology space

- Previous experience with outsourced manufacturing

- Technical depth with software and hardware products

- Ability to work cooperatively in a team and cross-functional environment and independently with minimum supervision

- Sound technical skills, understanding of Android design and technical principles

- Experience in analyzing UI/UX experience for the product and building smart and intuitive UI/UX features.

- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the capability to influence people/teams at every level of the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

- MBA / PGDM with Bachelors in Engineering (Computer science / IT) from Top tier institutes.

- Prior experience in basic Android programming and ability to write SQL queries

- Existing relationships with device manufacturers in wearable tech space - highly desirable

- Previous experience as an engineer in hardware, firmware or software development is preferable

- Experience with Agile software development, including scrum processes, user stories, and other Agile related processes and techniques

- Knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies is desirable
