Head of Product Development - BLR


- Our client is a Fast Growing Platform providing New Generation Services in both B2B & B2C space. The Company is recognized as a marquee growth story and are focused on building world-class products. We are looking for someone who can come in and take the Product Development to the next level.

- In addition to defining and executing the Product Strategy, you will influence the overall strategy of the business driven by your clear understanding of customer and their needs.

- You will be responsible for product planning and execution as well. This is inclusive of gathering and prioritizing requirements for the product, defining the vision for the product, and collaborating with other directors from the engineering, marketing, design, business and operations departments in order to ensure that the financial and consumer satisfaction goals are met.

Responsibilities :

Supervisory Role :


- As a leader, you will oversee and ensure that the functions of your team members (Product Managers) are efficiently and effectively executed.

Collaboration :


- You will collaborate with business, engineering, design and marketing to enable shared vision and drive consensus over the direction of the product. This also leads to clear and efficient product road mapping, product planning and prioritization.

Vision Creation :


- As the product evangelist you will need to define the product vision and then cultivate the vision in your team and across functions involved in the business

Product/Market Strategy :


- You will work intimately with the marketing department to develop product marketing strategies. You will also partner up with the business department to build on product unit sales implementation as well as support strategies.

Product Culture : You will drive data-driven customer-centric product management and continuous measurement and improvement

Road-mapping and Execution :


- Along with defining the vision and creating the strategy, you will also be closely involved in overall prioritization of the product. Apart from enabling your team to build out great products, you will also directly drive certain key features of the product. This enables you to be in direct touch with consumers.

- We are very particular that individuals are hands-on.

Qualifications :

Experience and Track Record :


- A suitable candidate will have 10-15 years overall experience with at least 6-8 years in Product Management. S/he will also have a proven track record in product planning, defining and launching successful products.

- Also, candidates will need to show that they have had experience in thought leadership in order to be better positioned to drive and inspire such a large and important department.

Communication Skills :


- The candidate will also possess excellent communication skills. These are necessary because the position is one of a cross-functional nature that demands constant interactions and deliberations with other departments.

- In addition to this, the individual will constantly make presentations to various stakeholders as well as representing the business and the product in external functions. All these roles require that the individual occupying the position; have superior communication skills both in verbal and in written form.

Analytical Skills :


- Candidate will need to have a superior ability to synthesize diverse and complex information and data and design refined strategies, solutions, workflows, and procedures that are presentable to all stakeholders.

Leadership :


- Candidate must demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and have the ability to influence and inspire the team in applying various approaches or strategies for the product.

- In addition to this, the candidate will also act as a mentor for the team, offering guidance in the performance of their functions and readying them for higher responsibilities.

People Skills :


- Due to the high level of interactions that is demanded by this position, candidates must have excellent people skills and not just leadership skills. People skills enable the creation of long-lasting working relationships with consumers and well as facilitation of smooth collaboration and performance of functions internally.

Work Ethic :


- The candidate must be an individual who performs and completes tasks in a timely fashion; adheres to work place procedures, policies and ethics; is a creative thinker who can develop product solutions on short notice; and who displays calmness and composure in the face of immense workload and pressure.

Qualifications : B.E./B.Tech a must; MBA from Premier institutes Preferred.
