Reporting directly to the Chief Manufacturing Officer, the Head of Product Design will be the senior-most design professional & responsible for all the different aspects of mobile phone design - Hardware, Software, Industrial and Mechanical.

Outcomes you will drive:

- Recruit, lead and inspire a team of interaction designers, visual designers, motion designers, prototypers and front-end developers focused on end-to-end experiences

- Develop and execute on a cohesive end-to-end design plan and process

- Study the association of component manufacturers in phone development & implement the same to facilitate the Supply Chain creation

- Work closely with multiple functions (especially product, sales and supply chain) on aligned goals

- Communicate and execute strategic product/service design direction to top level leaders

- Demonstrate design concepts and strategy through prototyping

- Well versed in the product development cycle, a solid user centered and product design process orientation

- Have strong alignment towards - Time to Market-, - Cost Consciousness- & - Quality Excellence-

- Diverse and extensive portfolio of work from in the mobile handset domain

- Creative in problem-solving

- Have articulated a strong design point-of-view and implemented it

- Have inspired and lead a team of designers (>40) with deep and diverse design skills

- Enthusiastic to create a design ecosystem for the country

Desired Qualifications:

- B.Tech. (Electronics/Communication) + MBA (will be preferred)

Relevant experience:

- At least 5 years- experience in leading a team which managed to design, develop and launch mobile handset/s
