Head - Procurement - Shared Services

We are hiring Head - Procurement for our client based at Bangalore.


The Procurement Leadership team and will drive the end to end P2P operations and the Global Process Ownership. Drive performance to attain world class operational benchmarks. As a Global Process Owner for Procurement, He/she is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to drive the change agenda for process improvements, ensuring the delivery of change within a constrained environment, managing business cases, change impacts, implementation and sustainability of initiatives. Actively seek opportunities to innovate and source best practices to develop the processes through collaboration in Finance areas. Responsible for the day to day performance of procurement processes including Source to Contract and Requisition to Pay, driving efficiency and value generation, working with stakeholders to ensure high accuracy, timely action and fast query management. Lead a team of young and motivated professionals with passion for operational excellence.

Experience & Education:

- MBA and Bachelors in Science/Engineering (preferred), or commerce with 18 to 22 years of relevant experience in Global Procurement Operations in Shared Services Centers.

- Professional Procurement certification preferred (APICS, CPM, CPSM etc).

- Strong project management experience, Stakeholder management, Managing large teams to drive operational excellence and efficiency.

- Procurement suite (GEP, Ariba etc), and ERP (SAP, Oracle) experience must.

- LEAN / Six Sigma / CI /PI Certifications (desirable).

- Demonstrable commercial experience. CPM/ APICS certification desirable.

- Operating within a matrix management structure

- Procurement hands-on knowledge and end to end process visibility.

- Experience in driving the implementation of global, technology enabled end to end processes and process governance models.

- Defining and driving process improvements enabled by technology, ideally with a process improvement methodology (e.g. Six Sigma).

- Shaping and driving project and change delivery. Communication & Training.

- Delivering cost benefits and quality improvements.

- Exposure to ERP and Procurement solutions.


- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

- Supporting the development of organisation's vision, strategy and performance objectives for Procurement Source to Contract processes.

- Engage relevant parts of the business, Procurement managers, Finance BP's, GSF and BAU process owners representing my process areas to understand their requirements, dependencies, and objectives for the change agenda.

- Ensuring the strategy & change agenda aligns to Service Delivery Model (adjacent process domains and relevant component owners) and support building understanding & commitment for successful delivery across Finance, TBS & Tech Engineering.

- Identifying opportunity, projected benefits & business case, assess change impact, prepare recommendation for implementation and obtain formal approval for implementation planning via formal Enduring governance.

- Engage with Technology and Service Delivery Transactional teams, defining Finance's technology & service delivery requirements to support their successful deployment.

- Engage with Data, influencing the inputs which my process will transform into defined outputs.

- Actively gather and apply external best practices, opportunity for innovation and understand impact of external requirements on relevant policy, procedures, systems, processes & fin-tech applications for my Finance areas.

- Explore innovation opportunities via deployment of workflow, RPA, AI & robotics working closely with Continuous Improvement SME's in Tech Engineering.

- Support Procurement Technology (GEP, Oracle Fusion, Coupa, Catalogues etc) user forums and influence future product roadmap and upcoming quarterly upgrades. Working closely with Technology roadmap and roll out team.

- Validating technology updates (GEP/Fusion etc) and understanding implications and changes. And convey / train users.

- Manage the formal processes for identifying high-impact improvement initiatives and collecting best practices and ideas from business/finance colleagues through an established navigator SME network.

- Assess impact of service delivery issues and oversee problem resolution & knowledge transfer, and prioritising initiatives.

- Validate initiatives across the business and Finance areas, building investment cases as required and develop a roll-out plan.

- Review the implementation of validated & approved improvement initiatives, working collaboratively with change release teams through phased common change release framework.

- Engage with Data, influencing the inputs which my process will transform into defined outputs.

- Define performance metrics for the processes and service delivery (cycle time, cost, capacity, etc.) and their targets, qualify demand transactional services and support volume forecasting & handling.

- Ensure service delivery as per agreed SLA, review quality of service against SLAs and intervene accordingly.

- Support the resolution of conflicts on any process and services delivery issues that involve cost/quality or other trade-offs.

- Manage changes to all relevant policies and procedures related to the process within my Finance areas.

- Identify gaps in existing policies and procedures and provide mitigation accordingly.

- Support the refinement and development of new policies and procedures on an ongoing basis in my Finance areas.
