Head of Procurement/Purchase - Power & Infrastructure

- Formulation of Strategy and planning for coal procurement through various modes and open market to meet the Business Plan Targets.

- Review the coal consumption plans prepared by the planning / Head Operations.

- Preparation of RFQ/tender document, inviting offers, bid evaluation & preparation of price comparison chart.

- Negotiate and finalize contracts relating to transportation, open market, AMM & Handling with a view to fix landed cost

- Formulation of Standard Operating Procedure for procurement activities & circulation to all team members.

- Network with suppliers & negotiate term contracts with suppliers.

- Finalize on the benchmark pricing in case of spot and term agreements with suppliers.

- Implement risk management processes and systems.

- Oversee execution of the Risk Committee mandates.

- Implement processes and a limit framework to monitor activities on an ongoing basis.

- Implement performance management and reporting systems and MIS Standardize processes.

- Monitoring and controlling turnaround time of orders & dispatches and Just-in-time (JIT) inventories in the port /warehouses/mines.

Key Skills required:

- Knowledge of power plant

- Experience in domestic and international sourcing

- Knowledge of sourcing parties and coal blocks

- Good contracting experience

- Good negotiator, liasoning with government agencies

- Railway and port experience

- Procurement related logistic experience

B.E/B.Tech; MBA (with specialization in supply chain/logistic/shipping preferred) Min 15 years of work exp in procurement and purchase
