Candidate has to come from a FMCG background :

- The role serves as the nerve center of the global procurement organization, which enables the procurement organization to design and deliver step-change across the procurement value chain, operating process, and business model.

- Sensing and incubating innovative ideas, new business models & transformation programs for value creation

- Enabling transformation programs, facilitating upskilling of employees, and developing strategy with respective portfolio

- Identifying and scaling up best practices across the global procurement organization

- This role is responsible for key deliverables of Supply Security, Contract Management, Cost and Cash Savings, Compliance activities, Strategic activity within the categories, Market intelligence, and interface with key business stakeholders within sales/marketing and finance.

- The role will understand the financial impact on the sourcing decisions that are made by the team in addition to the market dynamic impact on the P&L to determine a course of action to be taken.

- The role will be highly proficient in negotiations and will build relationships with critical suppliers at a senior level, in addition, will be available to support negotiations as needed by subordinates. It will build relationships within the businesses to align on market trends and deliverables.

- Work closely with Business Leadership Teams to understand Business Strategies and needs to shape sourcing strategies accordingly.

- Build strategies around both Direct Raw Materials and Indirect Procurement to meet global KPI's of Contract compliance, security of supply, cost, and cash savings.

- Work closely with Procurement Finance to understand Direct Raw Materials purchases and the impact on COGS and deviation from PPV. A clear understanding of raw material feedstock movements and market-based dynamics would impact the financial outcome of the business and give direction accordingly.

- Work closely with stakeholders to determine the most impactful projects to deliver savings.

- Work closely with compliance and uphold Procurement policies and procedures

- Build Sr. level relationships with critical suppliers.

- Lead a team of 2 direct and indirect teams in BUs in meeting their local/regional KPI's

- Accountability for all procurement activities globally

- Communicate the supply strategies to the business stakeholders and create the buy-in.

- Follow market conditions, prepare price trends, and formulate future markets trends for the business working closely with Commodities Risk Management for specific portfolios

- Lead the contract negotiations, leveraging the business and digital tools for support as needed

- Support the business with accurate price forecasting. Prepare information on purchase prices and conditions to enable proper budgeting and cash forecasting

- Optimize sourcing through the value chain from feedstock to fork driving out inefficiencies and improving yield/return from the chain

Qualification:

- Minimum 10 years in business covering 5 years in Procurement or Supply Chain.

- Experience in digital tool and process design mapping.

- Experience in managing complex and multinational projects and programs.

- Global Mindset, Strategic influencing, Team Alignment, Real Accountability, Action not Debate, engagement, perseverance, flexibility, and strong convictions.

- Good communicator, passionate, entrepreneurial, target-driven, negotiation skills, financial management, and business acumen.

- Project management, change management, information management, with fluent spoken English

Preferred:

- Experience in cross-functional program development and deployment

- Fluency in multiple language knowledge is a plus.

- Evidence of capabilities in catalyzing and leading change and transformation.

- Evidence of ability to work in virtual teams and global/regional environments.
