Head - Procurement - FMCG (10-20 yrs)
Key Responsibilities and Result Areas :
1) Work with various stake holders and formulate medium to long term strategy for direct spend for various raw , pack and other consumable categories.
2) Manage NWC by fixing inventory norms for various RM/PM/consumables at DCs to ensure optimal inventories .
3) Improve Payment terms by negotiating with vendors .
4) Coordinate with vendors and ensure high service levels for all supplies to DCs
5) Achieve set savings target through productivity projects
6) Eliminate mono-sourcing completely
7) Develop Vendor score card to monitor the performances of vendors.
8) Periodically review the capacity of various items especially the critical once. Accordingly suggest alternate vendor requirements considering long term demand forecast.
9) Work with vendors to reduce lead times and create agility in the system
10) Develop VMI and Consignment stocks wherever possible
11) Develop a motivated team to ensure talent pipe line in the function.
