Head - Procurement - Distribution Transformer Manufacturing (8-20 yrs)

Our client is a part of a large group in Oman.

- The group comprises of 60 companies. It is amongst the leading players in the marketing of electrical power distribution and transmission products, lighting solutions and products, lighting control systems and services etc.

- The main activities of the Group encompasses design, engineering and marketing of electrical and mechanical engineering and bulk distributed products and undertaking lighting and lighting control projects on a turnkey basis.

Job Description :

- For the group's Distribution Transformers Manufacturing Unit at Muscat, we are looking for a Head of Procurement - Transformers.

- Development and implementation of key purchase / procurement strategies

- Identifying and developing potential vendors locally

- Analyzing the BOM cost for existing models.

- Cost Reduction by means of Value Engineering & Development of new Vendors

- Establishing Vendor Rating Systems

- Follow-up with vendors for timely deliveries, quality checks & ensuring timely payments.

- Monitoring incoming materials supplied by vendors and ensuring they are as per quality & quantity specifications.

- Assisting vendors in the processes / systems and providing them suggestions for improving process efficiency.

- Maintaining optimum stock level for inventory and setting norms for the same for timely availability

Desired Candidate Profile :

Education :

UG : B.Tech/B.E. - any specialization Electrical, Electronics/Telecommunication and MBA

Age : 35-40 years

- 8 to 25 years experience in Transformer manufacturing Company

Worked for good Indian/MNC companies
