Head - Procurement - Milk - Dairy Development - FMCG

- One of our clients, a Leading FMCG company is looking out for a Head Procurement (Milk) to be based at Pune.

- This is a key addition in the company's leadership team and would be responsible for leading the dairy development for the organization with a focus on developing milk supply.

- The incumbent will be responsible for providing strategic direction to dairy supply chain including infrastructure development, contract programs with farmers, creating and managing all procurement processes and ensuring that all materials are delivered to the right place, at the right time, cost and quality.

- The individual should be a Bachelor's/Master's in Dairy/Food technology with 10+ years of experience in Procurement function and dairy development with 3-4 years in a leadership role in in a reputed organization. He should have excellent leadership and people management skills. The ability to effectively communicate a compelling vision and provide appropriate support and challenge to a team of direct and indirect reports, to deliver measurable success and exceed agreed targets.

- Strong level of commercial knowledge and acumen, with a good understanding of all relevant categories and markets. Multi geography procurement experience is preferred.

- Should have experience of contributing to both the development and implementation of strategic objectives and spend category strategies.

- Excellent project management, team-working, multi-tasking and prioritization skills, with the ability to perform, and inspire performance in others, under pressure.

- Wide understanding of supply and customer markets, and the ability to translate this understanding into compelling business opportunities for product development, cost savings and supply chain excellence.

- Capability to implement and manage efficient transactional processes and drive performance through rigorous follow up of automated processes.

- Marathi speaking will be most preferred.
