Head - Procurement - Building Material & Housing Products

- Reporting to Leader Procurement Asia, Fixtures, this role will be responsible for the assigned activities related to Sourcing, Outsourcing, Commodity Management, supplier development and order fulfillment with plant supply chain team.

Key Accountabilities:

- Define and implement sourcing strategy for India plant 5% productivity improvement (saving) Year on Year, to identify alternate sources for meeting cost improvement targets

- P&L responsibilities in the commodities assigned

- Steering of suppliers in daily business and performance to continuously improvement of supply flexibility, quality product with DPO (Days Payable Outstanding) yearly extension 5 days, OTIF (On time in full) target 98%, DPPM (defective parts per million) as per Quality mission set up

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Work with regional Lead Buyers and GSA team to collect and analyze commodity, and recommend commodity/items to be sourced and/or outsourced in Asia Pacific or other best cost country

- Provide second to none focus to Cost, Quality and Service in all sourcing activities, by identify potential suppliers, conducting full audit and evaluation, with key measurements: QDCS aspects

- Conduct of market analysis and continuously scouts for new technology in the field to align with company product development roadmap and ensure the right supplier base are ready to meet company business goal

- Lead negotiation with supplier for supply agreement, bonus agreement, QAA (Quality Assurance Agreement), frame contract, price adjustment mechanism

- Conduct regular benchmarking RFQ activities to drive for the optimal cost competitiveness within category spend, drive year on year supplier productivity through benchmarking resourcing, annual negotiation, should cost model, VAVE (Value Analysis Value Engineering) program

- Follow up company's compliance system to develop new supplier with cross function team and manage suppliers, cost, quality, and delivery performance.

- Experiences in working in MNC environment in India/Asia, good understanding and appreciation of MNC (Multinational Corporation) culture mix in India/China

- Strong time management and planning skills required to coordinate and prioritize multiple workload simultaneously while adapting to changes in business requirements in a fast-paced environment

- Good communication and negotiation skill are required

- SAP knowledge is a plus.

- Experience in VAVE is preferable

- Fluent in both oral and written English, good PC skills, e.g. Excel, Outlook, PPT.

Education requirement :

- BS degree required in Business or engineering or related technology or sciences. MBA preferred

- A minimum of 12 years' experience in the areas of Procurement, Supply Chain Management and/or Procurement Project Management in MNC environment in India/Asia, good understanding and appreciation of MNC culture mix in India.

Key Relationships and Communication :

- Cooperate with 4 regions category buyers respectively to sustain category productivity

- Close working relationship with all region procurement leaders, commodity management team, cross functional team in Asia and EMEAN.
