Head - Portfolio Strategy - Retail Liabilities (10-25 yrs)

Role summary and key responsibilities:

- Our liabilities business is presently one of the fastest growing in the industry both in terms of customers and size of the book, coming on the back of superior product proposition and industry leading digital capabilities

- In the next few years, we want to grow the liabilities book by at least 4-5x. In line with the overall strategy of the bank, we will build and scale up truly transformational digital, analytics, and organizational capabilities which will enable us to acquire a high-quality customer base and then build deep banking relationship with them to drive this growth

- As part of this ambition, we want to create the country's best digital-led engagement channels to service and engage our most premium customers

- The operating model for this engagement channel and portfolio management would be significantly differentiated from traditional setups both in terms of people and tech capabilities.

- Our intent is to go to market and differentiate our product in market on the back of the experience and engagement delivered through this channel for our customers

We are looking to hire a dynamic business leader who will be responsible for the liabilities portfolio strategy and non-linear growth of the book. You will report directly to the Head - Smart Banker and Retail Liabilities.

You will lead the strategy & growth team and will be fully responsible for the following 4 aspects of the business :

1. Responsible for overall strategy and design of an operating model for RL portfolio book

a. Design engagement and channel strategy for retail liabilities book in line with bank's overall business & digital strategy

b. Operating model design in line with overall strategy

c. Setting business/channel targets & aligning operating plan in line with strategy

d. Ensure end-to-end delivery of overall strategy & operating plan from inception to the realization of business value

2. Growth hacking of activation & engagement funnels for RL customers

a. Track, review & report key funnels & metrics across customer activation and engagement (e.g. funding, balance build, cross-sell and servicing)

b. Identify and execute funnel hacks to maximize conversion & user adoption including nonlinear experience hacks, digital builds, front-end tooling, campaign hacks etc

c. Identify the latest & greatest in relationship banking through industry benchmarking, digital trends, and customer research

3. Drive customer & business insights for RL

a. Responsible for all business analytics to drive actionable insights for business and channels

b. Track, monitor, and reporting of all relevant input and output KPIs for the business and channels

c. Responsible for overall business planning & monitoring including a budget, the actual realization (revenue & costs)

d. Prepare performance and MIS reports for senior management reporting and review

4. Design & execution of digital campaigns for the mapped customer base

a. Responsible for executing all digital campaigns across platforms; collaborate with internal cross-sell, personalization, and marketing teams for content & execution

b. Co-own digital engagement targets for activation and engagement

c. Conversion rate optimization on digital campaigns incl. funnel analytics and hacks

d. Collaborate with assisted channels (e.g. field RMs, Virtual RMs) for drop-off management in digital campaigns

In addition, you will also be responsible for :

- Build a high-performing organization under you

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and manage risk effectively

- Deep knowledge of industry trends and experience in competitor research, analysis, and industry benchmarking

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and senior management

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
