Position Head - Risk & Policy
Reporting - CRO

Responsibilities
General Accountability
Head Risk & Policy role is a key member of the Risk team and reports in directly to the CRO of the company. As the Head of Risk the incumbent is directly responsible for examining and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's internal control systems and procedures and recommended corrective actions to improve operations, enhance internal controls and reduce cost.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Mitigating the company's primary threats by developing risk maps and strategic action plans, this is a leadership role leading and managing the Fraud Risk function.
- Planning and executing information assurance strategies to protect against and manage risks associated with the use, storage and transmission of data and information.
- Strengthening the risk function spanning across products, managing operational risk, maintaining service standards, cost efficiencies and maximizing resource capabilities, including people accountable for ensuring a high-quality risk environment that is strictly in accordance with the regulatory and governance policies. End-to-end responsibilities for Fraud Prevention & Investigations across products. Keeping track of risk mitigation efforts.
- Budgeting and overseeing risk management and mitigation projects
- Digitized controls in workflow process to prevent fraud instances.
- Producing and distributing risk analyses and progress reports to company executives, board members and employees.
- Leading Fraud related investigations
- Regulatory reporting related to Fraud and related controls / instances
- Stakeholder Management to support them with best-in-class processes with digitized innovation and controls
- Evaluating and driving implementation of IT modules for Fraud Risk Control
- Digitized Fraud controls in Loan processes
- Support development of Fraud Control Analytics and reporting
- Efficient stakeholder management - both short term and long term. Lead and participate in improvement projects.
- Train and coach team members
Desired Profile
Qualifications - Post graduate
Experience 15+ years of experience in the in-Retail lending preferably in NBFC/Banks
