Role :

1. Responsible for establishing and running the Project Management Office with the objective of ensuring all projects are delivered using a - best-practice- Project Delivery Approach and are delivered within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality.

2. This role will be three fold, firstly overseeing the portfolio of organisational projects, providing expert knowledge and support and monitoring progress and reporting on the portfolio status. Secondly managing projects/programmes directly. Finally, the development, introduction and on-going iteration of the organisation's Project Delivery Approach.

3. This role will also ensure project resources have the correct toolsets and processes in place and that all relevant staff are trained and equipped to deliver successfully.

Strategy Formation :

1. Contribute to organisational business and budget planning process

2. Proactively engage with Directors and HODs to identify opportunities for business improvements by suggesting the project portfolio

3. Formulate and propose viable long term strategy for defined business plan of 3 years for PMO to support Operations to achieve the target

4. Approve 1-2 years PMO plan as per the organization's growth plan

5. Manage the administration for project submissions and approvals through the agreed prioritisation and approval process, maintaining a pipeline of approved projects


PMO Management :

1. Work closely with Cross Functional Team and external partners (both are project partners) to devise, develop and deliver appropriate and proportionate systems to evaluate key activities at a project level

2. Provide advice and support to project partners on how project evidence and information has to be presented and reported

3. Be an advocate of the organisations Project Delivery Approach

4. Scope and shape the requirements of the Project Delivery Approach across the organisation working closely with Directors and HODs

5. Devise, produce and implement new systems and processes to optimise more effective project management as required and within the framework of the organisations Project Delivery Approach

- Own the PMO central repository of documentation and processes including the PM Toolkit

6. Ensure standardised and relevant document templates are available from a central repository for both the PMO and business project team members

7. Facilitates sharing of best practices through informal communities of action, PMO collaboration and/or formal training sessions to enable a consistent approach across all projects

8. Encourage knowledge transfer and lessons learnt activities within the PMO and business project teams to drive best practice

- Identify HIPOs and support HR to decide on appropriate retention strategy like increments, their development plan, promotion etc.

9. Decide on non performer by monitoring performance development plan and take a necessary action
