Head of Operations Head of Plant Operations (Bead Wire) Job Description : - The Head of Plant Operations is responsible for the overall management of the plant, including production, maintenance, shipping, and receiving. - The Head of Plant Operations will develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity, while ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. - The Head of Plant Operations will also be responsible for the budget and for maintaining a safe and clean work environment. - The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in plant operations, as well as a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. - The candidate must also be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management, and have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Duties & Responsibilities : - Direct and oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, shipping, receiving, and warehousing - Develop and implement strategies to improve overall efficiency and productivity while reducing costs - Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services - Manage the development and implementation of new processes and technologies - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies - Supervise and train plant staff, including managers and supervisors - Conduct regular performance reviews and take disciplinary action when necessary - Prepare and submit reports on plant operations to upper management - Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs - Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers - Develop and implement budgets for plant operations - Plan and execute capital improvement projects Required Skills and Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field - 15+ years' experience in plant operations management - Proven track record of successful project management and process improvement - Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills - Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems - Preferred Skills and Qualifications - Master's degree in business, engineering, or related field - Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology - Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Lean/Six Sigma - Familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD software
