Employee Relations & Statutory Requirements - Ensuring positive industrial climate across plants. - Working with union representative to resolve labor relation issues, and to provide the voice of management to the union regularly. - Conducting Negotiation & Settlements with the unions (short term(Bonus) & long term) - Ensuring compliance of all labour legislation like Factories Act, Provident Fund, Contract Labor, ESI, Payment of Bonus, gratuity, Employment Exchange, minimum wages act, and all other acts and maintaining all its records. - Maintaining healthy relations with statutory bodies & government authorities like PF Office, ESI Office, Govt. Labor officer, Labour Commissioner, Factory Inspector, Employment Officer, Apprentice advisor, Electricity Co./ Board, Municipality, Telecom dept, GIDC & other govt. depts. and ensure speedy resolution of issues. - Handling Conciliation proceedings, Labor Court and Industrial Court transactions. - Ensuring grievance-redressal at shop floor level, Problem Solving and Counseling, Closely vigilance over labour activity. - Facilitating various Committee Meetings (Grievance, Safety, Transport and Canteen), draft Minutes of Meetings and follow up whenever required. - Enforcement of disciplinary action (issuing of warning letters, show cause notice and further process for inquiry proceedings). - Regularly interact with department heads and the Plant Head and provide support guidance on employee matters. - Organizing Family Meet / Picnic etc every year and other different sports tournaments/ different kind of competitions involving employees & family members. - Having exposure of conducting various Audits like ISO, PF, ESI and Social Audits. - Facilitating and implement employee welfare activities at the Plant. - Looking into all matters pertaining to contractual labour as per the agreement with the contractor and the statutory norms by the government. Human Resources Management - Creating Plant based HR policies and processes aligned and focused for the development of the business - Sourcing for manpower through various sources like ITI colleges, manpower consultants, labor contractors, Employment Exchanges, Internal Referrals etc. - Carrying out time bound recruitment for the plant by preparing / following up for JDs, conducting candidate search, hosting interviews, making offers, completing joining formalities. - Conducting induction/orientation program for newly joined employees. - Conducting training needs analysis, prepare training calendar, and coordinate training programs, record training feedback towards the same. - Conducting skill building programs for workmen as well as contractual employees, as and when required, in discussion with the various department heads at the plant. - Productivity norms & manpower efficiency. - Executing Performance Management System, facilitate the appraisal and review process at the Plant, counsel employees, Increment and other reward mechanisms. - Providing guidance, counseling and support to employees as and when required. - Apart from exposure to day-to-day compensation / payroll management, have exposure to compensation survey. Administration Related - Overseeing smooth functioning of all administration related tasks viz. Canteen, Transport, House-keeping, and overall cleanliness and maintenance of the Plant. - Conducting and implementing of - 5-S- and Kaizen activities. - Prepare various MIS and reports on administration related activities.
