Category head position for Yarn/Packaging/Stores & Spares Sourcing role - Budhni (MP location)

Job Description :

1. General Information

Position Title : Category Head Packaging Sourcing

Reports to : Head Supply Chain Management

Department : Supply Chain Management

Job Location : Budhni (M P)

2. Key Accountabilities :

- Understand business requirements and review annual /weekly/ monthly sourcing plan based on annual business and production plans

- Evaluate feasibility of alternatives (outsourcing/contracting etc.) to ensure timely delivery and cost optimization

- Plan for the procurement of raw materials and direct variables, logistics and shipping costs within budget

- Develop plans to improve control of inventory and on time delivery to the customer

- Build partnerships with preferred vendors (RM suppliers, logistic vendors and shipping partners) through quantity commitments

- Liaise with global/local vendors to secure competitive bids and availability

- Drive specific initiatives aimed at cost reduction in the supply chain. E.g. supporting wider business improvement initiatives

- Ensure on time, within quality and cost procurement for projects

- Settlement of vendor claims and dispute resolution

- Monitor the cash flow by collecting & consolidating cash flows of individual contractors/consultants and update the cash flow requirements on regular basis

3. Qualifications and Experience :

a. Essential :

- Master/Bachelor of Engineering (full time)/PG Diploma (2 years full time) or Master's degree (full time) in Business Administration/Management

- 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in Packaging & Sourcing with P&L responsibility

b. Preferred :

- Working knowledge of SAP

- Have implemented LEAN and JIT

- Good in building relations

- Adaptable and flexible in any situation

4. Knowledge and Other Skill :

- Expertise in Sourcing/Procurement

- Excellent knowledge of Textile market insights

- Strong International sales & marketing background

- Strong product knowledge including Yarn and related textiles
