Head - Operations/Warehouse Management - Logistics Firm (1-15 yrs)

Job description :
Role & responsibilities :
- Determine and implement key supply chain KPIs
- Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy (Structure, Process, Commercials, Manpower, etc.)
- Efficiently manage different teams (of 60+ members)
- Describe and implement procedures
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Continuously implement solutions for process improvements, by introducing new equipment and software changes
- Interface with internal stakeholders for various initiatives like capacity planning, shipment schedules, promotions etc
- Optimize operating cost and asset efficiency while maintaining unit economy against each dispatch.
Warehouse Management :
- Manage and govern regional operations on a day-to-day basis via the regional operations team
- Improve supply chain and inventory management through effective cascading of best practices, coordinating local and regional teams for driving sustainable business operations
- Monitor the health of inventory at all times through detailed data analysis along with the associated risks and implications to timelines; lead the resolution of cross-functional issues
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by directing, and training warehouse managers/ teams and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, space requirement, gate processes, shipping, etc
- Enforce the practice of a safe, clean, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and setting standards and procedures
- Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and statutory requirements at all times.
Logistics Management :
- Manage relationships with LSP (Logistics Service Provider) and onboard new technology to improve logistics operations
- Conduct negotiations with LSP to ensure better prices per dispatch
- Ensure distribution metrics are established and utilized for effective focus on daily/weekly/monthly performance targets
- Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
Preferred candidate profile :
- B.Tech/B.E with an excellent academic record
- PG - MBA in Supply Chain Management / Operations Management (preferred)
- Experience with eCommerce domain, a strong plus
- Able to work independently but not alone, leading through influence and from the middle of the pack.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Data Studio is a plus
- Interest in market dynamics along with a business sense
- A knack for negotiation and networking
