Head - Operations - Medical Labs (18-25 yrs)

Primary responsibility includes planning, organizing and directing the overall Technical operation. activities included are leading Head of Departments Reference Lab, Satellite Labs & Hospital Lab Heads . Overall clinical performance of the Labs. Ensure that services are of the best quality with definite and served turnaround time from all departments. Additional responsibilities include Quality Assurance as per ISO 15189 standards and accomplishment of the Labs with required certifications and accreditations.

Key Responsibilities

1 - Provides effective leadership of the medical laboratory services

- Relate and function effectively with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies, appropriate administrative officials, the healthcare community, and the patient population served, and providers of formal agreements.

- Serve as a contributing member of Quality Improvement Committee and Process improvement Committee to Define, implement and monitor standards of performance and quality improvement of the medical laboratory service.

2- Ensure that there are appropriate number of staff with the required education, training and competence to provide medical laboratory services that meet the needs and requirements of the users

- Provide professional development programs for laboratory staff and opportunities to participate in scientific and other activities of professional laboratory organizations

4 - Ensure the implementation of the quality policy, safe laboratory environment in compliance with good Laboratory practice and applicable requirements.

- Serve as a contributing member of the medical staff for those facilities served, if applicable and appropriate.

- Ensure the provision of clinical advice with respect to the choice of examinations, use of the service and interpretation of examination results

5 - Serve as a contributing member of Select and monitor laboratory supplier committee

- Referral laboratories selection and monitor the quality of their service

6 - Monitor all work performed in the laboratory to determine that clinically relevant information is being generated

7 - Address any complaint, request or suggestion from staff and/or users of laboratory services

8 - Design and implement a contingency plan to ensure that essential services are available during emergency situations or other conditions when laboratory services are limited or unavailable

- Attend and participates in hospital committees, as appropriate

- Responsible for providing 24/7 functionality of Laboratory Services

Identify challenges and problems in advance and suggested changes accordingly . RCA & CAPA
