At present we are having an urgent opening for a HEAD - OPERATIONS role for a reputed Manufacturing Group, which is a major name in the field of Ferro Alloys, with market presence in three continents of the world.

The company is one the biggest exporters in the country with an export turnover of appx Rs 4,500 crore annually. With exports to over 60 countries globally, it has the profound distinction of being honoured a Four Star Export House by the Govt of India

POSITION: HEAD OF OPERATIONS

REPORTING TO: MD

TEAM STRENGTH - 90+

We have an open position for Head of Operations & Planning (HOP) to oversee the overall planning, coordination, and execution of the company's export operations. This includes overseeing the procurement, planning & execution of export orders, transportation & warehousing, ensuring efficient shipping & ensuring systems and reportings are in place. Important to note here is that we have a dedicated team for each division, so the HOP must be someone who can supervise & lead the teams and ensure each team is working to its full efficiency level

The HOP must also ensure that all departments and well integrated & working coherently with each other to ensure that the company's overall operations are efficient and aligned with its overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Detailed Planning & execution of Export Orders by linking Export orders with the respective suppliers. Focus to be given on Export buyer's requirements to ensure that they are duly met

- Manage the team looking after procurement of goods and materials to ensure smooth & efficient functioning

- Develop and implement logistics strategies and plans

- Oversee the team handling transportation of goods and materials to ensure cost efficiency

- Oversee the team handling warehousing of goods and materials to ensure efficiency

- Monitor shipments to ensure that they are met on timely basis

- Ensure that all departments under Operations & Logistics are well aligned and working coherently

- Monitor and check the MIS & Reports prepared by each division to ensure accountability

- Identify and implement opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications

- Masters/Bachelor's degree in Operations or supply chain management, or a related field

- 15+ years of experience in Operations/logistics management

- Strong leadership and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

- Commitment to continuous improvement
