Head - Operations - Manufacturing (10-20 yrs)

- Direct responsibility for the facility's operational performance in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Continuous Improvement, Efficiency, and Cost.

- Responsible for identifying, growing and developing the talent in the operations organization resulting in improved leadership effectiveness.

- Meet product build plans and sales forecasts by developing production planning and scheduling systems, optimizing labor, equipment and inventory resources; examining and resolving schedule and quality nonconformities and problems.

- Exercise direct leadership over Manufacturing Management Team with respect to safety initiatives, production volumes, cost and quality to meet operations and customer delivery schedules.

- Implement world class LEAN / Continuous Improvement production systems.

- Meet financial objectives and goals by preparing and managing the annual budget, developing and managing forecasting requirements, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions as needed.

- Coordinate the functions required to efficiently process design changes from Design Engineering through Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Planning and Release, multiple internal Production Departments as well as external suppliers.

- Drive employee safety processes and systems within all production areas.

- Insure year over year efficiency and productivity improvement.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor or Masters of Science Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field.

- Experience gained from 10+ years of experience in a higher level management / leadership role in an industrial, manufacturing setting

- 5 plus years P&L experience (revenue responsibility above $10 million USD)

- Leadership experience in implementing a Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement program with proven results.

- Demonstrated experience with structured change management principles with proven results.

- Must be able to think and act both strategically as well as tactically.

- Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills utilizing a variety of delivery methods to variable audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Certifications.

- Experience with self-directed work teams or high level of employee involvement

- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and implementing a Lean Culture

- Experience with ISO Quality Systems
