Head - Operations - FMCG

Job Responsibilities

- Ensuring efficient plant operations in a profitable manner by setting and achieving overall production and cost targets.

- Leading projects and technological innovation initiatives with a view to bring about continuous improvement in production efficiency, cost control and quality assurance.

- Being overall responsible for driving quality and innovation as a practice in the company.

- Monitors all plant operations to realise the strategic objectives and targets of the company related to efficient, high quality production and cost control.

- Supervises the functioning of the Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing and Quality function to ensure all manufacturing objectives are met.

- Identifies imbalances and bottlenecks in the production process and decides on modifications to equipment and machinery in a cost efficient manner.

- Ensures periodic preventive maintenance activities based on production schedules ensuring optimisation of resource utilization.

- Maintenance of a good industrial relations in the factory through constant monitoring of personnel related matters and employee satisfaction and motivation.

Candidate Profile

- Years of experience: 15 years - 22 years.

- Qualification: BE (Production)

- Should have exposure of leading manufacturing in the foods sector.

- Experience of handling a large plant and workforce.

- Should have worked on cost reduction and productivity enhancement initiatives.

- Exposure to working on lean management and Six Sigma projects.
