This is a Leadership role with one of the Enterprises backed by a Global PE fund which is rapidly expanding its business in the Environment Management Sector. This role is Equivalent to Chief Operating officer Location : Delhi NCR/Gurgaon Role : Operations Head Reporting Manager : MD &amp; CEO Candidate Profile : Reporting: - Reporting to MD &amp; CEO - As a member of Exec Comm, assist the CEO in matters of strategic decisions and effective company management. - Supplying financial records including capex spends, budget positions, Goods/service received notes for capitalization etc. - Responsibility would include existing segments of C&amp;T, C&amp;D, WtE, BioCNG, Landfill and future opportunities where the company may expand its growth. - Managing the P&amp;L &amp; reporting as per the defined criteria - Reporting all safety metrics and incidents as per Indian Safety standards and OSHA framework to MD on weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis. - Reporting any breaches of the contract terms by contractors per suppliers Business Operations &amp; Opportunities: - Opportunity Identification/Scouting and technical due diligence for M&amp;A - Alignment to Company level Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) norms including sustainability - Preparation of AOP- s/LTP's for overall for desired profitability - Knowledge of all required approvals, Stakeholders and engaging them to get the operations running at desired operating levels - Work closely with others functions in shortlisting, evaluating and choosing the right sets of technologies, products and solutions inline with the business requirements and ESG norms. - Participate in primary bid submissions - Assist in technical due diligence for new acquisitions. Managing and Monitoring all Operations: - Overseeing the logistical/Procurement requirements of operations - Monitoring performance against agreed criteria - Ensuring Business Metrics are achieved &amp; obligations are fulfilled - Dealing with contract disputes and mitigating the impact of any issues Environmental Health and Safety: - Work closely with Corporate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) as well as onsite safety managers and jointly own all EHS requirements and compliances for the operations. Customer Interface: - Extend all required help in filling up of RFP responses, technical compliances, pre-bid queries, post bid clarifications, contractual negotiations. - Meeting regularly with clients, third parties and managers to report on progress - Provide all required data for reviews with MD &amp; CEO for operating performance - Responsible for CSAT metrics and business targets . People Management: - Manage a team of project managers/project directors to deliver the stated objectives and projects within stipulated time and budget. - Delegating work to senior colleagues and their teams - Set SMART goals, KRA's and targets as well as roles and responsibilities for all the staff members in the project management and delivery teams. Ethics and Integrity: - Demonstrate highest level of Integrity in dealing with contractors, government officials and consultants - Report any instances of violation in company's code of business conduct to CXO and HR Skills/Qualifications/ Experience: - BE+ MBA Operations from a reputed Institute - 15- 20 years of Experience in Waste Management Sector - BE+MBA from a good/reputed B School - Very High Attention to detail - Strong Interpersonal Skills - Act with passion, energy and can-do attitude for achieving stretch team goals - Effective Communication and Negotiation Skills - Conflicts management skills to achieve mutual goals - Investigative and problem-solving skills. - Well versed with the applicable legal environ. regulatory framework qualification - Disciplined and systematic approach to work - People skills, good judgement and flexibility are expected from the candidate - Ability to energise and motivate team - Willingness to travel (as and when required) - should have effectively manage Government side &amp; corporate side interface
