Head Operations - Chandigarh (Derabassi)

We have an opening with German MNC at Chandigarh.

Operations Management

- Formulating & executing production and manpower schedules / plans for smooth execution of projects at the shop floor within time & cost parameters.

- Managing various departments for ensuring the accomplishment of daily & monthly production targets for planning to utilize the full plant capacity.

- Planning strategies, budgets, manufacturing schedules, along with resource allocation and facilitating modern planning systems for complex operations

- Benchmarking prevalent manufacturing systems/ processes and undertaking result-oriented measures for improving them and documenting the same.

Quality Management

- Ensuring continuous interaction with the customer to make sure that area of concern can be worked upon for improved service levels.

- Executing continuous improvement in process capabilities for reducing rate of rejection and implementing statistical process control using process capability studies / control charts as well as various management tools.

- Ensuring qualification of the product & lines developed in house and from JV partner as per customer requirement from India, Indonesia, Europe, Japan.

- Ensuring timely audits for ISO 9001/TS-16949 and specific audit by customer.

Process Enhancement

- Focussing on optimisation of process parameters; initiating process improvements for achieving bottom line objectives & productivity targets.

- Implementing inventory control measures to reduce obsolete stock keep tab on slow-moving items and achieve reduction in inventory management cost.

- Identifying development project in consultation with team to reduce cost of process, thru Low cost automation & poke yoke interlocks based on short ROI based approach.

Mandatory Experience

- 12 - 25 years - from automotive company (Tire1 suppliers)

- Experience on any of following products is mandatory - electronics, electromechanical, cluster, electrical, LED (Auto), Lighting (Auto)

Academic Credentials

- Engineering Graduate with MBA in Ops will be preferred

Circa - Flexible depending experience - 12 lac pa to 25 lac pa
