JD for head of operational compliance is included below

- Ensure regulatory obligations are met and internal operations coincide with our compliance framework

- Delivery of compliance training and technical support, constructively working with the sales teams to improve communication and processes

- Maintaining SLAs to ensure registrations and payments are processed and cleared in line company defined SLA's

- Continuous engagement with the compliance and operations team in order to permeate best practice, learning and development, and assisting team members

- Initially reviewing and assisting with any FOS complaints and regulatory enquiries

- Investigating complex transactions and where appropriate making appropriate disclosures to the FIU's and dealing with any external DPA, POCA enquiries from law enforcement

- Liaising with the MLRO and being the local point of contact when dealing with external requests. Conducting local quality checks to ensure compliance with WTR and MLR Regulations

- Advising on changes to local compliance processes and where required policy processes, to improve efficiencies and/or address any compliance risks/gaps

- Overseeing and managing the risk assessments for UK

- Drafting Policy and Processes in line with regulatory requirements

- Where appropriate knowledge of the COBS and TCF regime to assess suitability of investment applications with experience of financial crime relevant to investments such as market abuse, insider dealing, mis-selling etc

Experience obtained / required

- 10 years of previous experience in transactional monitoring compliance with a financial services provider/bank

- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory risk specific to the financial services industry

- Knowledge of UK JMLSG and UK MLR and WTR Regulations

- Tertiary qualification either with ICA or CISI required

- Exceptional communication skills

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Pro-active approach, capable of working on own initiative.

- Attention to detail when completing all work
