A critical role in Cloud Services which demands individual to demonstrate leadership capabilities in managing highly skilled Network Operations and Projects team to support over 5 Billion Dollar Airtel Africa business. IT Cloud and Network infrastructure is hosted in 15 countries in Africa, India and spread across over many remote offices. The individual will be completely responsible /accountable for Cloud and Networks projects and operations.

Technical Skills

- 1. Excellent operations management skills to ensure defined target letter objectives and KPIs are met/exceeds expectation for Cloud and Network infrastructure in all 15 countries

- 2. Oversee the design of Regional Level, Cloud, Network, ACP, Cloud Security, Converged 3. Fabric and all Data communication networks (routers, switches, firewalls etc) and ensures that these Cloud and Network infrastructure support Airtel Africa business requirements at Global Level.

- 4. Datacenter facility management support of 28 datacenters and many remote office computer rooms which includes Rack layouts, Power, Cooling and redundancy of all components in datacenters.

5. Operational governance with datacenter facility management teams for 100% uptime of datacenters and computer rooms

- 6. Collaborate with Cloud infrastructure and IT security vendors and strategic partners and take responsibility for architecture, design and solution development of the solutions.

- 7. Develop, design and implement a plan for the creation and ongoing enhancement of a Global Cloud and Network strategy for meeting Airtel Africa communications needs for future.

- 8. Develop advanced ACP, Cloud and Network designs; recommend how systems should evolve to maintain compatibility with industry standards; use input from statistics to forecast changes.

- 9. Evaluate emerging technologies which will achieve optimal benefit while mitigating technical and financial risk.

- 10. Responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of national, regional and international infrastructure for 28 Data Centers (DC & DR)

- 11. Fairly hands-on individual on various Cloud & Network infrastructure technologies. 12. Provide consultancy, advice and assistance to Cloud, Datacenter Facility and Network Engineers in their day to day activities by strong governance model.

- 13. Produce technical documents for global publication that's used by regional engineers to implement network solutions.

- 14. Develop white papers and roadmaps that are published onto the global solutions catalog.

Experience required

- Linux & Windows Operating Systems

- Enterprise class various Storage & Backup systems (IBM, Huawei)

- Cloud Platform architecture, hardware and software

- Platform security, EDR Protection & Pattern upgrades, Patch management

- Implementation of Cloud and Network configurations including Active Directory

- Local Area, Wide Area, Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and other core services

- Failover and DR principles

- Virtualized systems (VMware, Open Stack)

- Virtualization Architecture, HA, DRS, Vcenter Configuration and Design

- Host profile, Host update Utility, Template, Cloning

- Migration techniques from P2V, V2V and ESX

- Strong knowledge of Capacity, Asset, Monitoring processes

- Intermediate skills on MS tools like Excel, PowerPoint

- Enterprise network architecture, design and implementation

- Network Routing, Switching & Firewalls (Arista, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto)

- Datacenter management tools setup

- Monitoring and extreme automation

Qualification & Certifications:

- Engineering Graduate

- MBA / PGDBA

Certifications:-

- MCSE / CCIE

- ITIL

- PMP
