Head - Marketing - Online/FinTech & Gaming (10-20 yrs)
The Marketing Leader will be accountable for leading a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and vision, and ensuring the team delivers on marketing initiatives that align with the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy to achieve the company's business objectives, including user acquisition and retention, revenue growth, and brand awareness
- Conduct market research and stay current on industry trends to ensure the marketing strategy is up-to-date and effective
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and development, to ensure alignment on the marketing strategy and execution
- Manage a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and leadership to help them deliver on marketing initiatives
- Create and manage budgets to support marketing initiatives and ensure the best return on investment
- Oversee the development and execution of advertising campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, display, and search
- Develop and manage partnerships with influencers, media outlets, and other relevant organisations to expand the company's reach and reputation
- Analyse and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
- Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and adjust marketing strategy as needed to stay ahead of the competition
- Work with the business teams to manage the PnL of a product/game
- Work and lead teams across acquisition, retention, design, content and brand to create a holistic marketing strategy
- Define the annual operating plan and work with various stakeholders to implement it
- Work closely with the tech, CX and Data Science teams to improve product and marketing KPIs
- Work with the product team to launch features and increase the usage of existing features
- Work with the business teams to manage the PnL of a product/game
- Work and lead teams across acquisition, retention, design, content and brand to create a holistic marketing strategy
- Define the annual operating plan and work with various stakeholders to implement it
- Work closely with the tech, CX and Data Science teams to improve product and marketing KPIs
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the gaming industry
- Deep understanding of the gaming industry, including its trends and players
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data- driven decisions
- Creative mindset, with the ability to develop innovative marketing strategies that stand out in a crowded market
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
