This requirement is for one of our Client who is an Italian MNC, Hardhearted and based in Chennai with 9 branch offices across the country.

Reports to: India MD and functionally to Marketing HQ

Description And Scope Of The Position:

The Marketing Head will implement marketing guidelines defined by Marketing HQ, and have ownership of local initiatives.

- The Marketing Head will focus in particular on the development and implementation of marketing campaigns for the local offer (e.g. ideas, concept, packaging) and will execute the local marketing plan (including digital channels) and launch of new products.

- He/she will influence price and communication decisions. Based in Chennai, the Head of Marketing will report to the India MD, and functionally to Marketing HQ.

Span Of Control: 2 reports to the Head of Marketing

Main Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of the Head of Consumer Marketing include:

- Implementation and development of local marketing projects (e.g. specific packaging for local initiatives) and effective management of local marketing budget

- Manage local digital marketing and PR agencies

- Manage digital marketing content and channels: CRM social media, web-mobile, e-Commerce, ICT, analytics & data management (CRM data collection and analysis for HQ marketing function)

- Influence design of the local distribution channels strategy

- Monitor local marketing KPIs

- Conduct local market intelligence to understand competitor trends and consumer needs (in collaboration with HQ Brand Identity & Consumer Insight function) to develop local product portfolio and identify strategic opportunities for growth

- Work closely with Sales teams in order to integrate local marketing plans

- New product development for local products

Requirements:

Experience:

- Experience of implementing marketing campaigns at local level, local channel management, content development and managing local agencies

- 10-12 years experience within a marketing role

- Solid experience in a leading FMCG company, preferably in an international context

- Experience of a matrix organization a plus

- SAP key user knowledge a plus

- Degree/Masters in Management/Marketing

- Knowledge of coffee industry a plus

- Exposure to ATL campaigns

- Analytical and problem solving

- Highly structured and analytical thinker

- Results-oriented

Client and business focus, and Project Management:

- Ability to independently implement local marketing campaigns

- Ability to independently manage marketing agencies

- Ability to get insights from local customers, aimed at influencing price and communication decisions

Communication:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Able to communicate with, and establish effective relationships with, co-workers, customers and suppliers

Language: English and Hindi.

- Candidates from South Indian States are preferred

Interpersonal and teaming:

- Function as a team player

- Able and willing to continuously develop business skills

- Self-driven and able to work effectively across teams and functions

- Maintain strict confidentiality guidelines in accordance with company policy

- Consistently demonstrate high degree of integrity, honesty and accuracy
