Head Marketing Communications (Top Bschools) @ Pipes, Cables Manufacturing @ Pune Job Description of a Marketing Communications Function : Corporate Guidelines : - Understand and update with corporate guidelines - Support in implementation of corporate guidelines at various points like printing of stationery, gift items, company logo. - Guide dealers in maintaining corporate guidelines Advertising : - Work out advertising budget based on final budget - Effective media planning & it's Segment wise allocation with maximum - Opportunity to See- Briefing advt. agencies; negotiate and finalize the media plan - Conceptualize; Plan, schedule various video films for product advertising (TV / Theatre etc.), training, van campaigns, etc. based on Management directives - Guide Branch Offices, dealers for selection of effective medias, provide inputs in the form of artworks, layouts, correct the designs submitted. Print production : - Communicate and evaluate various advt. agencies, print houses - Designing of various leaflets, brochures for products, corporate; for the company and Mukul Madhav Foundation : - Selection and finalization of Calendar for every year - Selection of suitable surfaces/processes according to quantities & usages - Proofing of jobs - Contents & quality - Overall quality control of print production jobs Digital : - Optimize OTS (Opportunity To See) by selecting and optimizing SEO - Create content to host on Face Book / LinkedIn - Create a company Intranet and host news (including achievements / Communication from top management / milestones / CSR etc) and happenings of and within the company - Update Company home page from time to time In house newsletter (Digital Version which can be hosted) by : - Collecting inputs from various sources - Re-write the news items if required - Get the layout/design done from external agencies or in-house in line with corporate guidelines Gift items : - Shortlisting of gift items for selection and approval from Management - Selection of appropriate vendor according to items and negotiation for best rates - Final production in line with corporate guidelines & Budget - Stock and control distribution of gift item - Create an online gift shop from where employees can buy items at cost - Press Conference / Press Releases - Plan the situational events on Management instructions - Take inputs from Management / plant / sales office - Prepare invitation to press & media, press docket, product for display, plan & procure gifts for press & media people etc. - Design and set up the display at the location of Press Meet - Arrange press coverage by appoint agency and monitor the press release Press releases of mandatory : Events & Conferences : - Take the necessary inputs from management and plan the event in line with the objective - Select the location, negotiate with the hotels/venues, entertainment agencies, Logistics planning Preparation of presentations, giveaways etc. - Execution of the event Exhibitions : - Select and evaluate exhibitions on national as well as local level and seek management approval - Plan the stall design in line with guidelines - Plan the products for display from various plants - Evaluate, discuss and negotiate agency for execution of display - Monitor proper execution of stall design - Help local offices, dealer in manning the stall - Guide and support dealer (participating on his own) by providing display product panels, leaflets etc. Stationery : - Monitor and control expenses against budget - Achieve cost cutting by evaluating items in terms of variety and material used. - Ensure the quality of printed items in line with corporate guidelines - Encourage - paperless- functioning where ever possible Others : - Support other departments in execution of special jobs like training calendar, quality manual - HR manual; Certificates; Banners etc. - Monitor & Control expenses in MarCom - Report MIS on a regular basis on activities done on Corporate level; Agri Business and Non - Agri Business with Media / Frequency / and Budget Vs Actuals in the quarter and YTD. Broad Competencies of a MarCom professional : - Broad Communication Capabilities: As a communicator, the incumbent must be able to tell a story to our customers (B2B or B2C). He / She needs to be clear, concise and able to prompt an emotional response. Creative Thinking : - The incumbent will have to be creative in how he/she breaks through the noise and garner attention for our brand. An analytical mind : - He / She should be comfortable handing statistics and be able to translate our analytics into insights (for digital marketing). He /She must understand our results in order to strategically improve our marketing efforts. Tech Savvy and fluency : - The incumbent should not only be abreast with the latest tools in analytics; but should mandatorily be fluent with Various Designing software like InDesign; Corel Draw; Photoshop etc. In addition, complete knowledge and excellence with all preproduction and post production processes. - Team Player and mindset of - No second Chance- : Must be able to collaborate with others, not only in sales and marketing but across the company as well to be effective. Should be able to foresee the target dates; pre-handle bottlenecks and implement tasks in precise time. (- Everything is expected yesterday in MarCom- )
