Head - Manufacturing/Production - FMCG (12-17 yrs)
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Production/ Manufacturing Manager to bring their expertise and gain exposure within a Leading FMCG business.
The Production Manager must be in a leadership role with an FMCG background (Food, Drink, Beverage, Food processing etc.)
THE PRODUCTION MANAGER ROLE:
- Working closely with the Production department, you'll be taking responsibility for the Production operations and take responsibility for all manufacturing and packing activities.
- Direct responsibility for all production, and maintenance activities.
- Direct responsibility for delivering production as per the production plan.
- Direct responsibility for safety of personnel, facilities and equipment's.
- Direct responsibility for ensures quality of all products within specifications.
- Work to achieve / exceed the proposed schedules in manufacturing and packing, so meeting customer demand and minimizing out of stocks.
- Accurately create and update relevant SOP's as necessary and in a timely manner
- Ensure standards and SOP's are adhered to at all times by all staff.
- Coach and provide feedback to all team members to help develop the skills and knowledge base.
- Reduce down times to maximize efficiency's
The Ideal Candidate:
- Technical knowledge of FMCG production and packaging processes for food, liquids, drinks and associated raw materials.
- B.Tech Food Science & Technology + MBA added advantage
- This experience must have been gained with a FMCG market with leading food or drinks brand environment.
- In-depth knowledge of modern maintenance technology and methods within automated FMCG Food, Drinks and related packaging operations will be integral to success and credibility in this role.
- Consistent global FMCG Food or Drinks multinational industry career history including existing or recent experience as a Production or Plant or Site Manager/Head. Experience in different locations in country as Manager would be highly advantageous.
- Track record of people development, engagement, change and continuous improvement leading to best in safety standards.
- Experience in Project Management, business and systems analysis highly advantageous but people management is key.
- Demonstrable experience of cross functional and multi-level interaction and working in a matrix organization.
- Led & achieved results in multi or single site/production operational roles, managing cross functionally.
