Head - Manufacturing Operations - Material Handling Equipment

Position: Head-Manufacturing Operations (Leading Material Handling Equipment MNC Manufacturing Company)

Role:

- The Executive would be responsible for production, subcontracting and order planning for the Company in India

- Implement manufacturing operations strategy in alignment with company plan and customer needs

- Replicate the processes and procedures of the German facility

- Responsible for Product Quality and Quality Assurance function at the Company

- Lead the relocation of plant in smooth and seamless manner from current location (From Mumbai to Pune)

- Create and execute policies and programs to maximize capacity and ensure high quality and low costs

- Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions

- Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials

- Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the Managing Director and other leadership team members

- Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management

- Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided

- Product development and Execution

- Successful in handling blue collar and union

- Lead and manage people movement from the current location to Pune

- KPIs: Meeting monthly production volume, yearly revenue target, delivery commitments, planning, sub-contracting, planking for growth, systems processes for ISO

- Ensure safety standards are observed at the shop floor

- Ensure proper coordination between various functions at the unit level to ensure seamless operations

- Regular interaction with external stake holders such as Govt. Authorities, customer and suppliers / vendors

- Regular interaction with internal stake holders to ensure that the Manufacturing Unit runs in a right direction to meet business objectives

Requirements:

- Graduate in Mechanical/ Production Engineering with post-graduation in Operations Management

- Minimum 18 - 25 years in hard core manufacturing of capital equipment

- Strong knowledge and experience in process equipment manufacturing is desired

- Age: Upto 50 years

- Experience to relocating complete plant operation from one location to another would be preferred

- Candidate with an existing vendor base for fabrications, laser cart operations etc. in Pune, would have an added advantage

- Expertise in handling Unions and Labours

- Candidate having experience managing multi-site location would be an advantage

- Ability to quickly adapt and take charge of manufacturing operations for a new product portfolio

- Professional with command on English, Hindi and Marathi language is preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong supervisory and leadership skills

- Passion for growth and Positive Attitude

- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong leader with track record of taking tough decisions

- Knowledge of Labour Laws is preferred

- Ability to inspire and motivate the team below

- Consistently manage performance firmly and fairly
