Role Overview :

As the Head of Manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring outstanding quality, efficiency, and timely delivery of products. Drawing inspiration from the world's best company's manufacturing heads you will drive excellence throughout our manufacturing operations. Your leadership will be instrumental in scaling our production capabilities and maintaining high standards of craftsmanship, while optimizing costs and adhering to strict timelines.

Responsibilities :

1. Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with overall business goals. Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.

2. Manufacturing Excellence: Establish and maintain a network of partner-factories across India, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards, production efficiency, and continuous innovation. Implement best practices from manufacturers to enhance productivity, minimize waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.

3. Quality Control: Set high-quality benchmarks and enforce rigorous quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process. Implement robust quality assurance programs, including inspections, testing, and audits, to consistently deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

4. Team Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing professionals. Provide clear direction, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.

6. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions. Continuously evaluate supplier performance, drive cost optimization initiatives, and ensure a reliable supply of high-quality materials.

7. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and ethical practices. Foster a culture of safety and environmental consciousness within manufacturing and logistics operations.

8. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including Design, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Support, to synchronize operations, drive product innovation, and ensure customer satisfaction.

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

Qualifications and Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or MBA is preferred.

- Extensive experience in manufacturing and logistics operations, preferably in the furniture or related industry.

- Proven track record of leading large-scale manufacturing operations, with exposure to lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.

- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

- Analytical mindset, with the ability to identify process bottlenecks, implement data-driven solutions, and drive results.

- Familiarity with best practices in quality control, safety, and compliance.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
