Job Objective:

To ensure systematic implementation of human resource strategy in the franchise & set up a new work culture to leverage human resources for higher people productivity, greater quality and cost consciousness and harmonious relations in the Organisation.

Education Qualifications

MBA in HR / MSW Specializing PM & IR

Work Experience

Specific Competencies / Skills Required Behavioral :

- Ability to identify and pre-empt potential people-related problems.

- Ability to plan communication in a systematic manner and get feedback on the effectiveness of communication.

- Resource management.

- Influencing skills.

- Inter-personal skills

Managerial :

- Ability to understand people-related issues.

- Ability to analyze trends in various components of wages.

- Ability to monitor the implementation of HR systems in the organization for employees and review its effectiveness.

- Trade Union handling.

Language Proficiency Understanding of English, Hindi, Bengali

IT Knowledge Working knowledge of MS Office.

Travel Less than 10% travel

Knowledge :

1. Knowledge of employee engagement tools.

2. Comprehensive knowledge of all components of compensation and benefits.

3. Thorough knowledge of all people-related issues in the unit.

4. Thorough understanding of domestic inquiry procedure.

5. Thorough knowledge of all labor laws relevant to manufacturing units.

6. Knowledge of all company policies and procedures.

7. Knowledge of capacity building programs for sales and plant level.

Key Success Criteria :

1. The ability to counsel the unit management on all people related issues.

2. Develop good interpersonal relations with all employees.

3. Understanding of socio-culture and political dynamics with respect to employees in the area.

4. Ability to convince the employees through assertion and logic in communication.

5. Ability to utilize Negotiation as a tool to gain the advantage on critical issues.

Key Responsibilities :

1. To ensure implementation of all HR systems and policies in the area. To work with the Sales team in implementation sales training programs and sales effectiveness policies in the area.

2. HR Operations :

a) Recruitment - To recruit for all Job Grades.

b) Compensation and Benefits - Administration of Payroll for all job Grades. To prepare budgets for Production Salaries and Wages as well as analyze trends in various components of wages.

c) Employee Database- Creation, Updation & Management of the Employee Database for all Job grades 7 & below.

d) HR Reporting Systems - Monthly HR reporting to the Division office.

3. Performance Management - To complete the full year performance appraisal and KRA setting processes for all hob grades.

4. To create and infuse new work culture amongst the employees.

5. To draw-up training plan for all employees along with the departmental managers, ensure its implementation and assess the effectiveness of the training inputs.

6. To conduct domestic inquiries for workmen/employees in compliance with the legal procedures.

7. To determine the manpower requirement for the sales function and the front line and to source market developers for the front line in the area.

8. To prepare and monitor franchise HR budget.

9. To effectively design and implement communication packages for employees in the area.

10. To induct and place workmen/employees as per laid down guidelines and procedures.

11. To ensure compliance with all Labor Laws and statutory guidelines.

12. To ensure proper implementation and sustenance of incentive system and sales incentive plans as well as short-term incentive plans during the season.

13. To prepare reports on areas related to HR.

14. To work with other cluster managers to implement employee engagement practices and interventions.

15. To ensure cordial harmonious industrial relations at the plant level and to ensure zero work stoppage.

16. To ensure compliance with all work norms and work practices for workmen as per SOP.
