- The Head of LTL (Less than a truckload) Operations will provide direction and leadership to the LTL business operations team of a 2000+ workforce. The leader will drive a best-in-class customer-focused operations team through the utilization of lean management philosophy and driven by data-based decisions through KPI management, the voice of the customer and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities associated with this position include the following:

- Drive operational excellence, strategy execution, and customer service for our LTL business operations.

- Setting direction and provide frameworks through which operational objectives can be delivered.

- Drive an operational performance agenda with a focus on CI, Safety, Quality & Ops Performance.

- Drive service delivery through operational rigor and razor-sharp focus on costs

- Constantly evaluate and implement ways to improve service effectiveness.

What you'll need

- Engineer/MBA with 15 - 18 years of experience in Logistics and similar operations.

- At least 5 years of experience managing a large multi-leveled team, with multiple direct reports.

- Experience in managing a budget / P&L

- Strong people management. Hire, train, motivate, and performance manages the team with the majority of your reporting relationships being remote.

- Clear and concise communication. As a visible organizational leader, you will need to engage a variety of stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.

- Demonstrated data-driven decision-making skills. You have the ability to synthesize information and create actionable insights.

- Comfort with ambiguity and change. You- re a self-starter and you thrive in an environment where all the information is not necessarily always available.
