Head - Logistics - Construction Firm

Head of logistics will take responsibility for ensuring that goods get where they need to be in an efficient manner. To this end, much of this role involves keeping track of timetables and costs. He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the logistics department, as well as expected to be strategic planners involved in helping the company progress.

Responsibilities

- Strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation and customer services

- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle

- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and customers

- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency

- Resolve any arising problems or complaints

- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timelines targets

- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements

- Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements

Requirements

- Proven working experience as a logistics manager

- Record of successful distribution and logistics management

- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff

- Proficient in standard logistics software

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects

Candidates should be MBA and should have 10+ years of experience. The client is a trading firm with operations in multiple countries.
