We are at present having a senior position as HEAD - CHEMICAL LOGISTICS for a reputed Indian EPC company for THEIR MANUFACTURING PLANT in WEST BENGAL location :

Job Title : Head Chemical Logistics

Location : Manufacturing Unit near West Bengal

Department : Chemical Logistics & Store

Reports To (Functionally) : Head Marketing & Commodity Business Team

Purpose :

- The main scope of the role is to lead the journey towards achieving Chemical Sales as per target thereby generating revenue, maintaining the inventory of Chemical/Catalyst/Additives to avoid process interruption, safe Ship to Ship transfers and enabling human resources in order to contribute sustainable competitive advantage.

Direct Reports : Deputy General Manager Chemical Logistics and Chief Manager Chemical Logistics & Chemical Stores.

Indirect Reports including total team size : 11

Major Responsibilities :

- Responsible for preparing annual budget plan and adherence to the same.

- Responsible for planning & reviewing Chemical Sales fortnightly and coordination with internal and external strategic stakeholders.

- Planning of monthly vessel operation planning at all Ports in a cost effective manner avoiding long delays and co loading of two products in a single vessel.

- Periodic planning of chemical components including Catalyst / Additives and physical verification to ensure utilisation in a cost effective manner

- Plan for pipe line transfer of product in order to avoid road transportation and cluster wise tanker planning to achieve sales plan.

- Adherence to all statutory and regulatory frameworks including ISO standardisations.

- Facilitate and enable proper training and development, empower and delegate proper functioning across all levels.

- Guiding team members in daily operations, trouble shooting, planning, cost control, profitability improvement, and enabling customers proactively.

- Leading the team by example and orientated towards problem solving in a collaborative framework.

Experience :

Around 15+ years of post-qualification experience In Petrochemical / Chemical / Refinery Operations with 7-10 years of senior management experience in a Petrochemical / Chemical / Refinery complex with yearly revenue over INR 5000 Crores.

Knowledge :

- Comprehensive knowledge of Business objective of the organisation, addressing any cross functional issues.

- In-depth knowledge in latest concepts, trends and practices of large scale process industries with special emphasis to Chemical Logistics in Petrochemicals / Chemical / Refinery industries.
