We have been mandated for the below mentioned position by a large global conglomerate in industrial automation and process management.

Position Title : Head Legal & Regulatory

Location of the position : Kolkata

Experience Range : 18 -25

Job Purpose: To lead and provide strategic direction to Legal & Regulatory Function of the business and advise Top Management on critical legal matters on way forward and closure To build a Culture of Compliance in the Organization in line with Group Values.

Key Responsibilities:

- Developing Legal Framework and Regulatory Framework of the Business

- Provide legal advice on mining operations, land issues, safety and environmental matters

- Advise the corporate communication team and contribute on external communication

- Guide the team to conduct legal due diligence for new projects

- Identify potential non-compliance / issues and take proactive measures to mitigate risks

- Legal Risk Management- Assess legal risks to the business and advise senior management on risk mitigation plans.

- Litigation Management - Conduct legal research and develop case content to ensure favorable representation

- Ensure and implement good Corporate Governance within the business in line with the group guidelines

- Regulatory Compliance - Develop policies for the business related to compliances and guide functional departments to be law compliant

- Contract Management - Review drafted documentation for business transactions and advise on necessary checklist to be adopted to ensure information is submitted on time - Lead the team to prepare, review and modify contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities
