Head - Legal - Real Estate

Our client is a large Real Estate Solutions group and provide very innovative products to it's clients. They have a very long experience behind them and are very reputed institution. They are looking to hire a "Legal Head" to join their Company ASAP at their Head Office in their "Mumbai" office.

The incumbent will be responsible for:

Litigation Management:

- Attend to all litigation matters and liaise and coordinate with external lawyers and law firms take decisions on the strategy thereof

- Responding to all Legal actions and claims

- Investigate and gather evidence to prepare and submit a reply to defense

- Attend and appear in court hearings (If needed)

- Track cases as required

Non Litigation management:

- Timely closure of Documentation/s

- Draft and negotiate agreements, review documents and manage the contractual risks

- Ensure the best legal solution to meet commercial objectives and to encourage best practice

- Minimise unforeseen legal exposure for the Company and its executives

- Timely legal support in terms of legal interpretation required for business performance

- Establish effective relationships within the organization, and network effectively outside the organization.

To qualify for this position you should:

- Bachelors degree in Law from a premium institute PG Preferred

- Have 14+ years of experience in Legal

- Have independently handled Litigation and Non-Litigation areas

- Preferably have experience in M&A

- Ability to handle matters with minimal supervision

- Be currently from Mumbai or ready to relocate
