Role Summary :
Responsible for safeguarding the interest of the group from a legal perspective, by defining parameters and processes for compliance/adherence to legal procedures. To advise and update the management on all legal matters
Key Responsibilities :
1. Develop processes, templates, and approval parameters for agreements and contracts for the firm
2. Define filing norms/ processes for legal/secretarial documentation within the group
3. Ensure compliance with all laws/rules/regulations etc. by spreading awareness about the same so as to safeguard the firm from potential litigation
4. Advise and update senior management on all legal matters
5. Advice and participate in major litigation cases
6. Oversee due diligence for acquisition and lease of properties
7. Liaise and coordinate with Lawyers, regulatory bodies etc.
8. Responsible for all company secretarial matters
9. Negotiate and finalize legal terms in important contracts
Key Result Areas :
1. Development of legal processes:
- On-time identification of area to be defined
- Periodically monitoring effectiveness of the process
- Periodically monitoring adherence to developed processes
2. Ensuring compliance with all legal statutes/laws etc
- On time submission of information to regulatory authorities
- No of violations under Companies Act
3. Advise and update the management
