Hiring for Head Legal for an Asset Management Company. As Legal Head you will support the business's growth in a controlled manner by facilitating, interpreting and monitoring of legal and regulatory guidelines. Ensure Compliance with company law, related laws and consequent adherence of all legal framework applicable to the company with set standards for a common objective. Essential Functions : 1. To strategize and guide the members of Regional and India Management team on various legal issues. Advising and timely implementation of various legal procedures. 2. Ensuring that the Companies are in compliance with all applicable acts, rules &amp; regulations, Preparation, maintenance and updating of various Statutory records, Returns and other documents as applicable under Companies Act, SEBI Laws, AMFI Guidelines, and other Statutes and supervising of MIS of various information. Ensuring Issuance of notices/reply to the notices, vetting internal group company agreements, affidavits, letters, Company Resolution, General/specific General Power of Attorney and applications to Government Departments and Regulatory bodies. 3. Liaison with Company Lawyers, auditors and tax advisors&nbsp; to ensure timely and satisfactory compliance and audit. Ensure that concerned departments are fully aware, prepared and to cooperative in its successful conduct. Ensure a satisfactory rating in achieved in all statutory and internal audit. 4. To handle the legal aspect of the company's various proposed and current M&amp;A activities. Legal due diligence and legal contract management for M&amp;A. 5. Co-ordination with functional heads of specific verticals in terms of negotiating, structuring, drafting, reviewing &amp; finalizing various Agreements, MOUs, Letter of Intents, from time to time. Advice and support on legal matters related to safeguarding of business interests and assets. 6. Special Projects undertaken from time-to-time based on guidance from Managing Directors and Regional / Corporate Legal stakeholders. Requirements : - Law Graduate with a C.S. - Relevant experience of 14-17 years - Preferably from Financial Services or a Law Firm.
