Head - Legal - FinTech (5-10 yrs)

Our client is India's first tech-enabled fractional ownership real estate startup. It is an investor oriented real estate technology company which democratises real estate by providing a transparent investment process by running a predictive algorithm based on big data analytics and stringent financial evaluation to identify the CRE properties.

Founded in 2020 by a team with global experience, this company has presence in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru and has facilitated investments worth 5Bn till date.

It is all set to change how India invests in commercial real estate.

As a Head of Legal, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance across all company's product offerings and assisting in obtaining any approvals/licenses etc and will participate in day to day document vetting for the investment opportunities structured by the company's platform.

What you will do:

- Drafting and vetting of investment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, investment term sheets in line with the guidelines on outsourcing issued by SEBI and RBI

- Reviewing and analysing clients quantitative portfolio data, financing and partnership agreements, legal documents and other materials as part of project due diligence process

- Negotiating the Investment Agreement with the client and liaising with the client to bring the transaction to closure

- Drafting and applying for regulatory and government licence and approvals from time to time

- Researching and resolving legal issues which come up during the transaction

- Assisting on aspects of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions

- Managing dispute resolution, litigation process and other legal issues

- Guiding management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations

What you need to have:

- Bachelors degree in Law

- Experience as a capital markets lawyer or similar role

- Work experience in Investment Banking, Finance, Securities Law and Corporate Laws

- Excellent knowledge about SEBI Rules and Regulations

- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing

- Strong attention to detail

- Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills
