We are looking for a senior professional for legal role with one of the Leading Companies in Energy Sector.

KRA's:

- Manage a diverse variety of legal matters arising out of the Company's operations, including but not limited to general commercial contracts, M&A and financings, litigation, employment law counselling, training and claim management, intellectual property, regulatory, and legal support of risk management matters.

- Provide counselling and guidance on appropriate risk allocation for strategic and core business transactions:

- Provide solicited and unsolicited advice to management and other levels in the business on all aspects of Compliance.

- Proactively and cost effectively manage litigation and other legal disputes, which shall include cost-effectively managing outside counsel

- Conduct legal analysis and provide counsel on laws, rules, regulations and policies

- Consistently guard against and provide timely evaluation of potential risks in contractual, regulatory, compliance and other legal areas

- Ensure the firm remains compliant in all aspects of business. It is important to understand the governing rules and regulations and have positive relationships with regulators.

- Supervise the Company's compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements and recommend to executive leadership team changes or additions to compliance activities.

- Develop and maintain effective controls designed to monitor the effectiveness of the Company's corporate and national compliance program. Ensure adequate review of the appropriateness of the compliance system and procedures and implement necessary remediation for any identified deficiencies.

- Conduct and oversee compliance training and awareness creation in a risk-based manner.

- Make sure compliance rules and regulations are duly embedded in business processes.

- Report to executive leadership team (as appropriate) any actual or probable violations of law or internal rules

- Serve as a liaison for legal, compliance and related matters to the company globally.
