Legal Counsel- Head

Qualification

- Law degree from a recognised, reputed university;

- Between 10-12 years experience post qualification in reputed law firms or in-house with relevant sectoral experience

- Overseeing and managing the entire legal, compliance and secretarial function while working directly with leadership team;

- Providing advice to the leadership team on general corporate matters, regulatory regime and changes in laws applicable to the organisation

- Liaising effectively with an array of consultants, advisors, regulators, and external counsels to manage multiple projects such as obtaining legal opinion on legal structures, title opinions of the assets, reviewing and updating internal and external legal documents;

- Managing the regulatory aspects of the company's business and proactively advising the leadership team on potential risks and risk mitigation strategies;

- Serve as lead counsel on strategic deals, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries;

- Assist external lawyers in closing VC/PE investment into group entities;

- Overseeing conduct of board and general meetings of all Group entities in compliance with applicable law;

- Manage and be responsible for the Group's risk management policy and framework; and

- Hiring legal and compliance resources as and when required
