Head Legal


- Handle all legal affairs, litigation matters, legal documentation

- Review pending litigation and chalk out a strategy for early closure of litigations

- Obtain necessary sanctions, permits, clearances, approvals and NOCs from statutory authorities and ensure legal compliance

- Vetting all legal documents including MOU's agreement, contract & disciplinary proceedings

- Draft corporate agreement/contracts, legal notices, show cause letters & other relevant documents

- Support Business for formulating general business strategy from the legal perspective

- Provide regular updates to Directors in terms of legal proceedings & further action points

- Update management and key executives with important developments, generally concerning the laws

- Develop and maintain sustainable relations with solicitors & Sr. Counsels of relevant High Court, Tribunals & Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, legal consultants and network of Corporate Lawyers

- Co-ordinate with advocates-on-record, counsel and senior counsel

- Advice management on issues, and where necessary, obtain expert opinions from external sources

- Represent the company in various legal proceedings and coordinate with legal consultants on behalf of the company

- Provide review or advice from strategic perspective to ensure business decisions are taken in well informed manner

- Keep fully informed on all legislation affecting the organization's operations and of all new developments in corporate legal matters, and keep all levels of management informed of applicable new laws and of the progress and results of court cases;

- Develop and mentor a professionally competent team

- Prepare and control department budget to support systematically planned activities and assure optimum deployment of resources within approved budget
